Symbolism

The field of gold represents a large wheat field rippling in windy weather like a wide open sea. The stars, while being canting of the bearer's surname are scattered around the shield like on a workbench. The crescent is one of the bearer's favourite heraldic charges, it to represents his homeland in Anatolia and along with the stars, makes apparent the bearer's love of the sky. The bearer also likes to see the stars and crescent as flowers and trees seen from above. Finally, the green hand represents the bearer's love of art, nature and archaeology.

The crest has the mythical Green Man of pre-christian mythology, symbolising the passage of time, fertility and change, the bearer has felt a deep connection to the figure since the time he learn about him as a child. His presence represents the bearer's love of history and adventure, which led him to his studies in archaeology.
