Symbolism

The vair bell is canting for my username, and the goutte making a clapper continues the wordplay of the 'bell' motif, complete with crack; vair also has a profile reminiscent of buttressed buildings, alluding to a historic structure physically near and emotionally dear to me.
The goutte and meter box key each refer to my vocation as a water operator (and in traditional style, the goutte tail looks like a river or path receding into the distance, indicating my journey of self-improvement). Azure and argent are classically the usual colours for vairy, but are also related to water and have been my favourite colours for a long time.
The pean bordure reminds me that animals and the rest of the natural world surround us all, and are more important than solely-human concerns.
"Sumer is icumen in" is a lyric from an old song, which I first heard in the soundtrack to the original Wicker Man movie, and reflects my belief in rejecting cynicism even in adversity by seeing the glimmers of equity and justice to come.
