The field of Argent alone represents a place of cleanliness and peace while the Bend Sinister Sable has a double meaning. The main bend speaking to the armigers battle with mental health, while the cottises represent a barrier the armiger needed to break through to grow.
The Owl proper and Key Or are traditional symbols of wisdom and knowledge, both of which are immensely important to the armiger. The Flames Gules from which the owl rises are a representation of the flames of rebirth.
If the shield were to tell a story;
“A man is born anew through the flames of rebirth, with wisdom and knowledge as his guides and the badge of acknowledgment of his past upon his chest, he strides forward towards peace.”
The Stellar’s Jay represents the armigers home, where this bird is plentiful. The Hatajirushi represents the armiger’s Japanese ancestral heritage. The top half of the banner is the Kamon of the Morita family, the family of which the armiger is descended from, and on the lower half, the Maple Leaf Gules represents a Japanese Red Maple tree the Armiger’s family planted upon moving to the USA.
